NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY

National Mathematics Day was celebrated on 22nd December to mark the birthday of Shri Srinivas Ramanujan the great mathematical luminary who made exemplary contribution to mathematics.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY - TUK IAT

The winners of The Ultimate Knowledge-International Aptitude Test (TUK-IAT) were felicitated by the school Principal Ms Karuna Verma, at an award ceremony, conducted on 18th December 2021.

PTM class I and II

An Online PTM was conducted for Classes 1 and 2 on 10th and 11th December 2021, where the parents and teachers discussed the online learning and assessment results of the little learners. Parents provided their valuable feedback and suggestions.

Pre Primary children celebrated “Brown Colour Day” by learning to blend two colours 'Red and Blue' which was very amusing to them.

The young Learners of Pre School celebrated "Golden Colour Day" on 7th December 2021. Children of Pre School enjoyed participating in making Golden Colour Star Fishes.'

YELLOW COLOUR DAY CELEBRATION

Pre School children celebrated 'Yellow Colour Day on 25th November 2021. Dressed up in Yellow attire, they enjoyed making 'Paper Giraffe.'

GREEN COLOUR DAY CELEBRATION

To develop strong cognitive skills, Pre Primary children celebrated 'Green Colour Day' on 25th November 2021. Tiny buds dressed up in hues and tints of green were looking fabulous. Children were introduced to the colour through a colour blending activity. The session filled the students with happiness, energy and optimism.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Little Devotees of Pre Primary Wing celebrated the Festival of Lights with joy & fervour. Children dressed up in vibrant traditional attire, they excitedly made elegant “Candle and Diya Holders". Adding sanctity to the festivity, the little ones enjoyed the dance session & learnt the significance of the festival.

RECOGNITION FOR SAMITES

SAM scholars won plaudits in recently concluded Interschool fest ‘Glimpses-2021’ organised by N K Bagrodia School, Dwarka. Aditi Gupta of class III F bagged first position in the virtual event “If I had a time machine and Eshanya Sharma of III B mesmerised the judges by her eloquent recitation of ‘Hasya Kavita’ in the event ‘Khilkhilati Mehfil’ Heartiest congratulations to both the students for their outstanding performance.

INTER SCHOOL EVENT ‘FUNATHON’

Versatile SAMites brought laurels for the school when they won coveted positions in the Inter School event ‘Funathon’ organised by Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh Ayushmann Garhwal of class III B won first position in the event ‘Bucket the potato’ and Vidhi of class II E secured third position in the event ‘Bull’s Eye’. Indeed a laudable performance by both our students

Swachhata pakhwada 1-15 September 2021

Cleanliness Drive in SAM was organised from 1st to 15th September under the Swachhata Pakhwada mission. The objective of the campaign was to create awareness among the students regarding hand washing with soap, use of mask and social distancing. Swachhata Shapath was taken on the very first day where all the students along with the school staff participated. Various activities like paragraph writing, poster making, slogan writing were organised.All the non teaching and administrative staff were the part of this cleanliness drive. To reiterate the importance of hand washing during the current time of pandemic students were shown the WHO video ‘ How to hand wash with soap and water’ The students promised to follow the hygiene practise and keep their surrounding clean.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 to pay tribute to the official language of India. Hindi was adapted as the official language of constituent assembly on September 14, 1949. The students of Sam celebrated the importance of countries most widely spoken language by participating in various activities organised from 7th September to 14th September. Doha and poem recitation, slogan writing , drawing and skit were held online for the students. The teachers also oriented the students about the importance of Hindi language and how celebrating the day glorifies the importance of Hindi language.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated virtually by the students of SAM. An eco friendly Ganesha was made by the students of primary wing with the help of their teachers and parents. They used their creativity to decorate the idols in bright colours. The students were explained about the significance of the festival and importance of eco friendly ways of celebrating the festival.

STAFF ENTERTAINMENT DAY ON TEACHERS' DAY

A lavish party at Taj Vivanta was organised for SAM staff by the school Chairman Mr Praveen Kumar and the Principal Ms Karuna Verma on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Teachers let their hair down and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. They had wonderful time and played games like tambola and musical chair. This was a day to make every teacher feel special about themselves and to acknowledge and recognise their dedication. In all, everybody rejoiced the day and cashed lot of fun making it a memorable day.

VIRTUAL TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with full gusto and zeal by the students of class XII at SAM . They organised a mesmerising virtual program for their gurus.The program began by welcoming the school Chairman Mr Praveen Kumar and Principal Ms Karuna Verma and all the teachers. A poignant poem self composed by the students was dedicated to all the teachers for their efforts, especially during the time of pandemic. Another noteworthy performance was the beautiful song sung by a class XII scholar. On the occasion Chairman Sir and Principal ma’am wished the students and motivated them with their words. Entertaining games were conducted and interesting titles were given to the teachers. The programme concluded with the speech of the senior teachers and thank you vote

TEACHER DAY CELEBRATION

As part of Teachers’ Day celebration students of class XII had hands down experience in virtual teaching. The young scholars dressed up smartly and wowed everyone with their excellent teaching skills. They prepared the topic in advance and conducted the class with perfect elan and confidence. Students of classes III-XI enjoyed themselves thoroughly as they interacted with these guest teachers. It was indeed a memorable experience for these ‘young teachers’ of class XII.

JANMASHTHMI CELEBRATION

Janmashtami was celebrated with religious fervour by SAM scholars. The primary wing students looked picture perfect , as they happily posed for the camera , dressed up in the attire of Lord Krishna and Radha. They made dazzling paper crafts like flutes, head gears and matkas and adorned them with glittering stones, stickers and beads. Students also showcased their artistic skills by drawing lovely portrait of Sree Krishna and events related to his adventurous life. The Principal Ms Karuna Verma, highlighted the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teaching in our life and blessed all the students on this auspicious day.

SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION

National Sports Day is celebrated on the 29th of August every year. It marks the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major DhyanChand. To mark the significance of National Sports Day, SAM virtually organised several activities. Students of middle school virtually participated in various activities related to sports such as skipping, shuttle run, ball dribbling. They also did various yoga asanas with great zeal and enthusiasm.Students made posters showcasing the achievements of our players in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. A documentary on the life of hockey wizard Dhyanchand and video on Olympic medal winners were screened for the students. They thoroughly enjoyed participating in various events.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD FOUNDATION

Science Olympiad foundation ( SOF) awarded scholarship of ₹5000 under the Girl Child Scholarship Scheme 2020-21 to Ishita Sharma of class X. She was chosen on the basis of her excellent result in class IX and to assist her to pursue her studies. Heartiest congratulations to Ishita. May you succeed in all your future endeavours.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

To cherish and commemorate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister, the festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated by students of junior wing. A rakhi and card making activity was organised for the scholars. They created dazzling rakhis using different articles like silk thread, ribbons, beads ,stones etc. They also made lovely greeting cards with beautiful messages for their siblings . Children thoroughly enjoyed the activities that tickled their creative sides.

SANSKRIT DIWAS CELEBRATION

Sanskrit Diwas is celebrated on Shravan Purnima every year to spread awareness, promote and revive the ancient Indian language. To commemorate the day week long activities from 16th-19th August were organised at SAM. Self introduction in Sanskrit language, Shloka recital and essay writing on ‘importance and relevance of Sanskrit‘ was organised. Students’ beautiful rendering of verses from Bhagwad Gita Shiv Tandav Stotram, Yajurveda and Rigveda showed their confidence and hold over the language.

CLASS IX - XII PTM

A virtual PTM was successfully conducted for classes IX to XII on 7 August ,2021 under the aegis of school Principal Ms Karuna Verma. The main objective of the meeting was to explore ways and enrich students’ learning experience. The teachers briefed the parents about their ward’s performance in PT1 and also about their general conduct in classroom. The parents appreciated the smooth functioning of the school and expressed their gratitude. They appreciated the efforts being put in by all the teachers to enable their wards to excel in scholastic and co-scholastic activities. Overall the virtual PTM was interactive and fruitful.

CLASS VIII PTM

A virtual PTM was successfully conducted for class VIII on August 6, 2021. A comprehensive feedback about each child was communicated to the parents. There was mutual exchange of ideas and suggestions with an aim to work together to adorn the personality and academic performance of the students. The parents appreciated the smooth functioning of the school under the able guidance of the school Principal Ms.Karuna Verma. They also expressed their gratitude and appreciated the efforts being put in by all the teachers towards the progress of their wards.

CLASS VII PTM

A virtual Parent Teacher Meeting of class VII was held on 5 August 2021 under the able guidance of honourable Principal Ms Karuna Verma. The main objective of the meeting was to create a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to discuss students' performance and devise ways to enrich their learning experience. The teachers briefed the parents about their ward’s performance in periodic test-1 and also about their general conduct in classroom. Together they identified the areas of strength and weakness of the child and sorted out ways to boost the child’s performance. The meeting helped to create better understanding between parents and teachers and build harmonious relationship between the school and the community.

Vector Borne Diseases

"Prevention Is Better Than Cure." The students of Class 1 learnt about “Vector Borne Diseases." They took an oath and created informative posters to prevent diseases and take care of their bodies.

Black and White Colour Day

"Colours Have The Power To Convey Moods And Feelings." Pre-School celebrated 'Black and White Colour Day.' Kids all dressed up in both the attires looked beautiful. Tiny tots participated enthusiastically in 'Penguin Making Activity' which was indeed a fun learning for the little ones.

CLASS VI PTM

The online Parent Teacher Meeting was held for class VI on 4th August 2021. The parents gave their valuable feedback . They were thankful for all the efforts made by the school in facilitating the virtual teaching learning process. The parents were highly satisfied by the performance of their wards and praised the tireless efforts of the teachers and the school. Overall the PTM was good and beneficial and there were exchange of ideas to work together for nurturing their wards by SAM team.

PTM Class V

Parent teacher meetings are a prominent and notable feature of the school curriculum. The motive is close interaction of parents with teachers with regard to the progress shown by their wards and finding workable solutions to the problems coming in the way of development of their ward. The PTM of class V on 3 August 2021 was very interactive and went off well. The teachers shared the progress of the students and noted the suggestions given by the parents. Parents highly appreciated the efforts being made by the school authorities and the hard work put in by the teachers and expressed their gratitude for the same . The PTM came to an end with the conclusion that joint effort, mutual understanding and cooperation of parents and teachers is very important for the proper nourishment and progress of students . The virtual PTM was a success.

“Grey Colour Day”

"Grey Is The Color Of Intellect, Knowledge And Wisdom." Young Learners of Pre Primary celebrated “Grey Colour Day” on 3rd August 2021. Children were dressed up in grey attire during their classes & they delightfully participated in blending activity to create grey colour. The session ended with ample amount of fun learning.

Reading Sentences

"Today a Reader Tomorrow a Leader" A special presentation was conducted by Pre Primary Bulbul of Sam International School on the topic 'Reading Sentences.' The little ones actively participated in the fruitful activity.

CLASS IV PTM

Parents teachers meeting holds a very eminent place in the school. This is a platform where parents and teachers together get to discuss students performance and help them to improve themselves every single day in all aspects. The PTM for class IV was conducted on 2 August 2021 .All parents actively participated and were very satisfied with the online classes. They appreciated the teachers for conducting classes smoothly. They were able to see a constant linear growth in their child . They gave positive feedbacks and few suggestions.Overall the PTM was fruitful and conducive.

# Class III PTM

Education is not the learning of facts, but training of the mind to think.” A Parent Teacher Meeting for Class III was held on July 31,2021 . It was a great interaction between the teacher and the parents for the development of their children where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvements. The class teachers shared their comprehensive feedback provided by the subject teachers. Parents became aware of the institute’s rules and regulations, methodologies of teaching & learning for the overall welfare of students. Parents were encouraged to appreciate student’s participation in all academic activities. The PTM came to an end with the conclusion that joint effort, mutual understanding and cooperation of parents and teachers is very important for the all round development and progress of students.

Mighty tigers hear them roar, for they may be no more. Happy International Tiger Day! Today, on the occasion of “Tiger Day”, the students of Class 1 crafted “Tiger finger puppets” and Class 2 made “Tiger face masks."

World Nature Conservation Day 2021-22

World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated at SAM on 28th July 2021. The objective of this celebration was to increase the awareness about protecting the natural resources that the Earth is bestowed with. Students of junior classes made colourful parrots in their art and craft class and senior students made meaningful posters and drawings to signify the importance of natural resources in our life On the occasion, students were also shown a short video on water conservation by the eleventh president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. A rich tribute was paid by the SAM scholars and teaching fraternity to the ‘Missile Man’ of India, whose death anniversary was on 27th July 2021.

Plants and their importance

"Plant More Trees For A Better Tomorrow." With the same thought a special presentation on the topic 'Plants and their importance' was conducted by the kids of Pre School Bluebells on 28 July 2021. Kids focused on the importance of trees as they are a source of life.

# Kargil Diwas

SIS celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas to remember glorious victory and to pay tribute to valiant soldiers who had laid down their lives for the country. An informative documentary to explain the significance of Kargil Diwas was shown to the students. In her message, the school Principal Ms Karuna Verma, asked the students to ‘remember’ our martyrs by revisiting their sacrifices and ‘renew’ our resolve to safeguard the honour of the tricolour.

Pre Primary

"Alone We Can Do So Little, Together We Can Do So Much." An Online PTM was conducted by the Pre Primary wing on 24th July 2021. The online interaction between the parents and the teachers was worthwhile as parents got to know about the progress of their child. Parents were happy to see their little ones enjoy the online sessions.

# Happy Guru Purnima

Teachers are the light in the life of students’ A guru is considered as the one who rid us of the darkness of ignorance and fills us with the light of knowledge. On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, SIS recognised the contribution of its founder Honourable Chairman Shri Praveen Kumar and worthy Principal Ms Karuna Verma. A bouquet was presented to Sir and Ma’am to show reverence and to salute their unending contribution in always guiding the teachers and the students. We all are really fortunate to have both of you as our guiding light.

Green colour day and Van Mahotsav

"Think Green And Live Green" To create awareness regarding tree conservation and plantation, the Little Learners of Pre Primary wing indulged in multiple creative and interactive sessions. They celebrated Van Mahotsav and enjoyed doing the crayon shaving activity. They also spoke about the importance of Plants and Trees through a special presentation. They learned about blending yellow and blue colours to make green.

Eating Habits

"Eating Healthy Will Make You Strong" A Special presentation on the topic 'Eating Habits' was conducted by Pre School Aster in which they focused on eating healthy food. They also learnt about taking precautions in terms of Health and Hygiene.

International Nelson Mandela Day

Scholars of Sam paid homage to Nelson Mandela, the noble peace prize laureate on international Nelson Mandela Day. Students were shown documentary on the life of this incredibly selfless man who played a major role in rewriting the history of South Africa. Students also participated eagerly, in the quiz conducted on the life of this great leader. They made the caricature of this widely acclaimed statesman and the founding father of peace in South Africa.

Sandwich Making

"Activities Are All About Imagination, Curiosity And Creativity." Pre Primary kids enjoyed making 'Sandwiches' during their virtual class. The children focused on healthy eating habits. It was a fun time activity.

Sharing and Caring

"Sharing Is Spreading Joy Amongst Others.'' Pre School Carnation presented a special topic on 'Sharing and Caring' on 30 June, 2021. Little Samites excitedly talked about being empathetic, and how to start caring about others unconditionally.

National Paper Bag day

To boost the creative skills of the students, paper bag making activity was conducted to celebrate the National Paper Bag Day, on 12 July 2021. The students, made beautiful paper bags of different shapes and sizes and decorated them vibrantly. The poster making activity inspired the young minds to contribute towards mother nature by using paper bags and saying no to ‘plastic bags’. Students of the middle school showcased their writing skills when they wrote an autobiography and a meaningful story on the paper bag. They effectively conveyed the message that these paper carrier bags are most sustainable and efficient means of packaging.

"Golden Words Create Magic In Our Communication" Pre School Aster conducted a Special Presentation on the topic 'Golden Words.' Children expressed the importance of these words in daily life. The presentation concluded with rhyme recitation.

International Yoga Day (Class 1)

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” — The Bhagavad Gita On the occasion of “International Yoga Day”, the students of Class 2 made colourful posters, while Class 1 practised Yoga starting with Dandasana, Padmasana, Vajrasana and more. The students also learnt about the uses, history and many other facts about Yoga.

SAM family organised week-long celebration on the occasion of international Day of Yoga. The special yoga session was organised for the parents ,students and teachers by PE faculty. The participants enthusiastically participated in various asanas. Especially, the meditation session helped everyone to forget their worries and relax. On the occasion the Principal,Ms Karuna Verma, motivated the students and asked them to practice yoga everyday and make it their way of life.

On the occasion of Father’s Day, students of Sam showcased their love and respect for their fathers. They participated in various activities like card making, reciting poems , writing thank you note etc. They even clicked selfies with their beloved fathers in colour coordinated t-shirts. Fathers appreciated the efforts of the school for instilling values in students through such bonding activities.

Eid celebration

“WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE ALL FESTIVALS ARE CELEBRATED WITH THE SAME ENERGY.” The students of Class 1 and 2 celebrated “Eid-ul-Fitr” with much joy and fun. Class 1 crafted moon and star “Tohran”, while Class 2 had fun with “Vermicelli Decoration” for Eid. Both the classes enjoyed their “Class Parties" from home. Eid Mubarak everyone, The SAM family wishes you all love, peace and health.

"Let The Special Occasion Of Eid Adorn Our Life With The Colours Of Heaven." The festival of joy, happiness & brotherhood, Eid ul Fitr was celebrated on 13th May 2021 with excitement and fervour. Young learners enthusiastically participated in craft activity- Mosque Making & as a part of feast they decorated Vermicelli with almonds, pistachios etc. They relished the snacks and vermicelli. To enlighten the students about the spirit behind the festival, the teachers showed videos related to the festival.

“When it rains look for rainbows, when it’s dark look for stars” ― Oscar Wilde In times like these, we all need to look up to the sky and look out for a rainbow. The young sunshines of the SAM family crafted their own “Corner Table Rainbows”, they also prepared “Lemonade” and presented it artistically. They relished the yummy 'Lemonade'.

Best out of waste "Recycle Waste, Using Creativity." On 11th May 2021, Pre School participated in the ‘Best Out of Waste Activity’ . Tiny tots used waste materials like bottles, boxes, jars etc and made eye catchy 'Pen Stands'. The activity displayed creativity and developed a sense of love for the environment. On the other hand, Pre Primary children were actively involved in activities related to 'Family Words.'

Blue colour day 2021-22

" Blue Symbolises Trust, Loyalty And Confidence." Pre School kids celebrated ‘The Blue Colour Day’ on 10th May 2021, wherein they dressed up in hues of blue and showed different blue colour objects. They also participated in ‘The Colour Changing Activity’. On the other hand, the young Samites of Pre Primary enjoyed a story session about Vyanjans.

Mother’s Day celebration

‘Mother’s love is a brilliant gem to be treasured’ The day that recognises the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits by SAMites. On the occasion, students passionately made beautiful greeting cards and conveyed their thanks to their moms for their unconditional love. They presented specially handicrafted papier-mâché and pasta jewellery, fridge magnets and eye catching junk jewellery to their mothers, which they had learnt in art and craft classes. Many students came up with innovative ideas and gifted handmade bouquets, jewellery box and other handmade gifts to their wonderful mothers. Students of senior classes, showcased their love for their mothers by baking yummy cakes and other special dishes. This way, they pampered their mothers and displayed their love for their moms.

The students of Class 2 made “Golden Words” flashcards. Class 1 crafted “3D Season Trees" and learnt about different seasons. We had joy, we had fun; we had seasons in the sun; and we shall soon be able to go out again, till then, let’s make learning fun!

Rabindra Jayanti

Rabindra Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of the great scholar, novelist and Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore. On 7th May 2021, SAM International school paid homage to Gurudev and remembered his great service to the nation. The movie ‘Kabuliwala’ was screened for the students of junior wing . They were also informed about the life and works of Tagore. Students of the senior wing were shown a documentary based on the life journey of Rabindra Nath Tagore. They enthusiastically participated in the quiz that was conducted on the life of this great literary luminary.

Labour Day (VI-XII)

To express our gratitude towards the labour community, the International Workers’ Day also called as The Labour Day was celebrated at SAM International School on 1st May 2021 with great zeal. The students made thank you card , composed poems and wrote slogans to show their love and respect for all the helpers around them. The day taught the students to be thankful to everyone.

"Cooking Is An Art." The young kids polished their cookery skills with fireless cooking. Class 1 prepared ‘Vegetable Salad’, while Class 2 made 'Sandwiches'. Our little master chefs also learnt about food plating and presented the dishes beautifully. It was indeed a fun session.

“Get Ready To Explore More." Our little Einsteins are busy conducting their experiments at home. Class 1 conducted ‘Sensory experiments’ at home and prepared their ‘Sensory wheel’. They also enjoyed vegetable printing. Class 2 conducted an experiment on the 'Forms of Water', using household items. They also enjoyed playing games with different 'Matras.' The children are trying to explore more by conducting enjoyable activities.

"I Have The Joy, Joy, Joy, Down In My Heart To Stay." The children of Pre Primary till class 2 were filled with joy, even during the Covid season. They learned about the “Importance of 3 R’s” and pledged to save the environment by the ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’ rule. They also spoke about keeping the planet clean and saving different species. Students of class 2 learnt about the use of 'vowels' by participating in "Fruits & Vegetables Spelling Activity". We believe that each day will be a daily dose of fun for both, the teachers and the students.

World Book Day Celebration

World Book Day Celebration “Reading is an investment which has great returns” To inculcate and encourage the crucial skill of reading in the students, a series of activities were organised to mark the World Book Day on 23rd April. Students of junior classes narrated stories with colourful hand puppets and props. Students of middle school added a twist in the tale when they gave a different ending to the story based on their imagination. They also designed and decorated beautiful book covers. Students of senior classes wrote book review on the occasion. Students showed lot of enthusiasm and participated in large numbers in all the activities.

The Earth Day celebration

The Earth Day celebration To mark the Earth Day and emphasise upon the need to save our planet,Sam International School, celebrated the Earth Day virtually. Students participated with zeal and took pledge to keep earth clean and green. The students made posters and highlighted the message to save water , reduce pollution and keep the earth green. They also made badges, wrote poems and made PPT to convey the message that we need to act now to protect the environment before it is too late.

Cartoon Day

‘Cartoon Day’ "Cartoons Have The Power To Influence The Minds Of Children As Well As Adults.” To develop linguistic skills & imagination in an entertaining way, Pre Primary of Sam International School celebrated ‘Cartoon Day’ on 16th April 2021. The little ones confidently spoke & imitated their favourite cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Peppa Pig, Spider Man etc. The excitement could be seen through their faces, as they wore their favourite cartoon character costumes.

World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day SAM International school celebrated World Heritage Day with cultural and traditional zest.Essay writing, collage making, quiz, virtual heritage walk to the Red Fort were some of the activities that were conducted on the occasion. The aim of these activities was to create an awareness among the students about the rich cultural diversity of heritage monuments and sites of our country

Students of Class II of Sam International School conducted a special presentation on the topic 'HEALTH IS WEALTH' on 15 April 2021. The students actively participated in a virtual presentation and spoke confidently. They talked about healthy foods using colourful props.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATION “Turn your mood into joy and dance on the tunes of Bhangra." Festivals bring joy and happiness . Baisakhi is an important 'Harvest Festival' of Punjab that has religious value as well.The festival takes place in the month of April every year. The engaging and fun filled activities brought smiles on the faces of class 1 and 2 children.

Ambedkar Jayanti

To mark the 130th anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, our students participated in various activities which were organised on the virtual platform. Students of classes IX-XII spoke in brief about the ‘father of the Constitution’. They were shown a presentation on the life and works of Baba saheb. The middle school students were explained about the teaching of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and his contribution in the development of the country. They also wrote some of his thought provoking slogans like ‘Birth never decides worth’ and ‘Life should be great rather than long’

Orange Colour Day (2021-22)

"Orange is the colour of joy & creativity." On 13th April 2021, Pre Primary of Sam International School celebrated ‘Orange Colour Day’. Tiny Tots learned the blending of Red with Yellow, to create Orange, which radiates like Sunshine. Little Seedlings enthusiastically participated in Orange Colour 'Fan Making Activity’ . The children enjoyed the session by showing their orange coloured objects. It was indeed a pleasure to watch the little ones dressed in orange, bubbling with energy.

“Red is an Apple, Red is a Cherry, Red is a Rose, & a Ripe Strawberry.” Pre School of Sam International School celebrated ‘Red Colour Day’ on 12th April 2021. To teach them the concept of Primary colours, the teachers introduced 'Red Colour' using different objects. Toddlers dressed in Red were excited & happily showed different red coloured objects. The celebration continued wherein the children participated in ‘Thumb Printing Activity’ which brought a smile on the faces of the little ones.

World Health Day PS-Class II

"A healthy mind lives in a healthy body" April 7 of each year marks the celebration of World Health Day. Students of Pre School to class 2 participated enthusiastically to create awareness among people. The theme for World Health Day 2021 is ‘Building a fairer, healthier world’.

World Health Day (2021-22)

World health Day is celebrated every year on 7th April to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organisation. Students of SAM marked the day by participating in various online activities. The teachers made the students aware about the good health and emphasised on the significance of a balanced diet. They were also shown a short movie on how can a healthy diet lead to healthier world. ‘Fit as a fiddle’ , ‘ in the pink of health’ were some of the idioms written by them. Students of the middle and senior wing watched an interesting documentary on ‘WHO- guardian of health‘ and participated actively in the class quiz conducted on the topic food and health.

Orientation 2021-22

“Connecting Home and School makes us a Great Community of Learners.” The Virtual Orientation Programme for the parents of PS-II for the session 2021-22 was held on 6th April 2021. The aim was to familiarise the parents with the curriculum, teaching methodologies and the co scholastic activities. The Coordinator Ms. Rashi Dhimaan addressed the gathering in affable presence of our Respected Principal ma’am Ms. Karuna Verma. It was followed by a session conducted by Ms. Charu Bajaj, Founder & CEO of Skills and You, who talked about Parenting & Development of Children. Finally, class teachers welcomed the students and wished them luck for their journey ahead.

"Story Telling Promotes A Positive Attitude In The Children." The Pre Primary wing of Sam International School conducted 'Story Narration Day' on 15 and 17 Feb 2021. Little munchkins excitedly narrated the stories with beautiful props as it enhances their communication skills and boosts their listening abilities.

Remembering Sarojini Naidu

The SAM scholars celebrated the 142nd birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu on 13th February.The day is also observed as The National Women’s Day .Students were told interesting facts about her life. Many interesting activities related to the life of the ‘ Nightingale of India’ were conducted for the students. They recited some of her famous poems like ‘ In the bazaars of Hyderabad’ , ‘The palanquin bearers’ ‘ Coromandel Fishers’ etc . Class VIII students made power point presentation on the life of this great leader. Some girls even dressed up like Sarojini Naidu and spoke beautifully about her life and the work done by her for her motherland.

Darwin day celebration

Students of SAM remembered Sir Charles Darwin, the father of evolution on his birth anniversary today. Science teachers educated the students about the life and the works of this great scientist. The students showed keen interest in the activities organised for them on the occasion. They spoke about the life and the work of Darwin. They wrote his famous inspirational quotes and happily posed for the camera with it.

Republic day celebration 2021-22

India’s 72nd Republic Day was celebrated today at SIS with the spirit of unity and brotherhood. Mr Praveen Kumar, the Chairman of the School hoisted the tricolour in the presence of the school Principal Ms Karuna Verma and other staff members. The Principal wished everyone on the occasion and reiterated the need for being resolute in our path to achieve our goals. This was followed by virtual R-Day celebration. Students of senior wing presented beautiful dance , poetry and speech in the online assembly.

Students of Sam International School paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on the occasion of his birth anniversary on 23rd January, 2021. Variety of online programmes were organised to mark the day. Students spoke about their beloved Neta ji. They also wrote essays and recited patriotic poems to highlight the contribution of this great leader in the freedom struggle. A short documentary movie was also shown to the students to commemorate the day.

"Pink Colour Signifies Love, Beauty And Kindness." 'Pink Colour Day' was celebrated by Pre School of Sam International School on 21 January 2021. Children all dressed up in vibrant shades of Pink participated in 'Cup Cake Making Activity' enthusiastically.

The Nation’s pride- The Indian Army

Students and staff of SAM paid their obeisance to ‘the brave hearts’ on the occasion of the Indian Army Day on 15th January. A documentary ‘spunky warriors’ was screened for the students. It was followed by short question answer session and discussion on the valuable role played by our soldiers. Teachers also explained the heroic efforts of the Indian army in the form of stories. The school Principal Ms Karuna Verma paid tribute and expressed her reverence for the army.

Lohri and Makar Sankranti Celebration

" Makki Ki Ho Roti, Sarso Ka Ho Saag Moongfali Ki Ho Khushbu, Gurr Ki Ho Mithaas Manayee Lohri Ka Tyohar, Sang Harsh -O- Ulas." HAPPY LOHRI....! The students of Pre School to Class 2 virtually celebrated the harvest festival of Lohri.All dressed up in Traditional Attire enjoyed participating in 'Kite Making Activity.' The students were briefed about the significance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti through a video. The kids enjoyed peanuts, popcorn and gur til while dancing on the folk songs. A tribute - Swami Vivekanand

To mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the National Youth Day was celebrated across the country on 12th January , 2021. We at Sam , organised the online webinar on the teachings and the life of Swami ji. A short documentary was shown to the students. A group discussion on the “Role of generation Z in nation building” was organised. Students contributed positively in the discussion . Few students dressed up as swami Vivekanand and shared his invaluable teachings with everyone. The students promised to integrate the teachings of this great saint in their daily lives.

Homage to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri

Students of SAM paid homage to second prime minister of India Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his death anniversary today. A short documentary on the life and the works of this austere , humble and soft spoken leader was shown to the students. Everyone showed keen interest and participated in the discussion based on his contribution to Indian politics. It was truly an enriching moment for all the students.

Modes of Transport

"Carrying You Around From One Place To Another With Joy And Laughter." Modes of transportation always fascinate children. A special presentation was conducted by Pre Primary Bulbul and Flamingo of Sam International School on different 'Modes Of Transport.' The little ones used colourful props to make the presentation more meaningful.
